BeneficiaryWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia My father passed away this passed year. He had a small life insurance policy as part of his retirement naming me as the sole beneficiary. My mother had passed away just before he retired and was offered the policy. He remarried in Florida a few years after naming me as the beneficiary but left the policy as was. His wife is now filing a claim to that policy. Does she have right to the policy? |

| No. There is no legal grounds for her to file a claim. How did you find out that she was filing a claim? |

| Thanks for your response. The insurance company issued a letter indicating someone was challenging the policy. It is an assumption on my part that it was his wife however I have no remaining family and she is the only other person related. |
