What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
Is there any way to search by the beneficiary's name to see if he has collected on insurance policies of several people who have turned up dead under mysterious circumstances? Things are starting to SMELL around him! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

As an alternative you may want to have a background check done on him through a private investigator for a few hundred dollars and/or check county courthouse records online and prison/jail inmate databases online to look to see if there is a criminal history--maybe someone else filed charges against him in the past if he was somehow associated with a wrongful death.

I'd recommend that you stop trying to play detective and simply report your suspicions to the police.
