I was hired away from one company to work for this one, part of the agreement of employment was the employer would provide health insurance coverage. I had a heart attack in mid-November and another 3 weeks ago. My doctor is suggesting open heart surgery. My employer last week informed me he was terminating my health insurance as I am unable to work 40+ hours a week as agreed. I have not been terminated from my position. Without the insurance I will be forced to return to work without further surgery or medical attention. No one else has had their insurance terminated except me. Do I have any recourse and am I entitled to his restoring my health insurance coverage? I request assistance as soon as possible as the first is my cut off date.
