What is the name of your state? AR

I need a little infomation I cant seem to find anywhere on internet

My dad had a insurance policy and his wife was bene and they divorced 6 weeks ago and he passed away, but here is the odd thing they were still livig together and she was his primary caregiver does she still have right to payment after they were divorced? I cant find any Arkansas law on this.

If your dad (or whoever owned the policy-I assume probably dad) did not change the beneficiary, then the bene named in the policy originally should get the proceeds. That is the normal procedure & the procedure at the co. I worked at. Life ins. passes outside the estate & goes to the bene named in the policy - your dad's ex-wife.
