the bank that held my mortgage was bought by a larger bank. The new bank somwhow released the mortgage free an clear to the court house that the mortgage was paid in full. but before I received the deed they discovered the error. although all documents show the mortgage to be paid in full an the bank has no paperwork showing otherwise they will not release the deed knowing there is still a mortgage left although no paperwork can prove that. I to know there is a mortgage left an asked that my interest be reduced to a lower rate for there mistake but they refuse. What are my obligations toward the mortgage payments now.
thank you, James B.
