If one's spouse passes away, and the beneficiary collects on a life insurance policy (spouse), would that beneficiary be legally required to give a percentage of that $ to the deceased's ex and minor children, whom would have received child support?

No. Child suport and alimony orders end on death. However, if there was a court order or agreement requiring the spouse to maintain a life policy for the kids or ex-spouse, and the dead spouse failed to comply, or there were payments in arrears, that raises a series of other issues.
