Understanding SSA's Explanation of DeterminationWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX The last of Jan I received this form letter from SSA regarding my ssdi claim. I am wondering if there are any key words on here that indicates whether or not I will be approved for SSDI. If anyone can help I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, Ken ![]() |

The Letter From SSAThe letter actually says something to the effect, we have determined you meet the medical requirements, we have not yet decided whether you meet the non medical requirements for disability. |

| Sounds like your claim has been sent to a vocational specialist for review of potentiality for employment in a different field or with accomodation, but I'm not positive. |

SsaWell thanks Ozark for the information. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens. I called once and they advised me it was approved and I have to wait on the award letter; after calling today told that they have not made any additional decisions. |

| If you are not represented by an attorney who specializes in Social Security Disability cases, you may want to consider getting one. They could answer your question and there are also books and many websites on this subject that could answer your question. |
