10 Year Relationship Ended....Any Rights???

Ohio
My friend has lived with her boyfriend for 10 years plus.....now he has decided he wants her to leave. We are looking for information on if she has any rights as to money, property etc. There is no longer common law in Ohio so that is no help!! Could someone let me know is she has any rights or where we can get information on this subject???

She has a right to money that is in HER account. She has a right to property that SHE purchased. She will not receive and cash maintenance or assets other than what SHE bought.

So basically your friend is looking to see if the slang term "palimony" applies. Am I making an accurate assumption?

One of the key requirements to spousal support is to actually be a spouse.

Tell your friend that if she wanted the rights of a wife, then she should have worked harder at becoming one.
