access to medical information

What is the name of your state? MO

I do not have joint legal custody but my divorce decree directs the custodial parent and doctors to provide information concerning the health, education, and welfare of the children. The kids' mother told a neurologist not to give me the EEG results of my son. They refuse to even though I have asked for and have shown them my decree. Can they legally do this? And what should I do next? Thanks

Visit the FAQ section and look for medical records question. They have a pre-written letter you can use to access your child's record. Unless there is a court order stating you can't have access to medical/school records, you should be allowed to review them.

Skyy, Thanks so much for directing me to this letter. I have used some the wording in telephone conversations and they are already treating the situation differently. Thanks
