Adult "run away"~California I know an ADULT who is planning to move out from her parent's house, without informing her parents. She is planning to move with her lover, because her parents forbids her relationship. What would happen if she moved out without informing her household? Are the police going to look for her if she moved out without her telling her parents? Is it illegal to do this? She just wants to move out, and not inform her parents; or at least move out and inform her parents in the near future. Thank you. |

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

informing parents required? What if the adult doesn't tell her parents she is moving, and the parents contacts the police, where the parents believe there may have been foul play? |

okayWhat is the whole story? Come on here. Jetx answered the question as it was posed... an adult can do what they want... you are leading me to believe there is a problem with this "adult" or something.

| If she is an unconserved adult she can move out of her parents house, as long as that is it. If she is planning something to make it look like foul play, that that is illegal and anyone having knowledge of it and not comming forward about it could also be in trouble. So what is the real story.

unclear? The story is thus, The woman is trying to move out without telling her parents. She wants to start a new life without knowing her parents. She is afraid that her parents may call the police to assist in the search for her return. I was just wondering if the police would actually conduct an investigation toward a woman who moves out without telling her parents. Thank you. |

| Well why can't she move out but leave a note behind saying she is fine but she does not wish for her parents to contact her. Then to be on the safe side notify the police station that she is moving out and she is afraid that her parents are going to use the police as means to help them find a daughter that does not want to be found. That way her being gone is seen for what it is. |

| Then if she wants to be an adule she needs to act like an adult, she should tell her parents she is moving out so there is no question about it.

| If she's not mature enough to be an adult about it, then she's really not mature enough to be living on her own anyway.

| Another way she could handle it would be to go ahead and move out, then to avoid all contact with her parents, go to her local police and make a note to inform them of her decision, she can tell them that she is afraid they may try to find her by reporting her missing. Then the police will already have a note in the files that she has voluntarily left and there is no foul play involved. This would avoid the whole hassle. They would also be prepared to inform any other agencies that her parents may contact, such as state police, of the situation so they would avoid a search and subsequent problems. She should also be prepared, however, to make immediate contact with any agencies who might list her as missing, to tell them that she is not, she has left voluntarily and wishes no contact with her parents. Then she also avoids any legal ramifications of false police reports and etc.

| wow, all this because her parents dissaprove of her lover!! What if things go south between this "girl" and her lover? Has she considered her future? SHe is thinking with her heart and not with her head. Well, she is thinking with something else, but I won't go there. She ought to just leave a note telling her parents she has chosen to move out - on the DAY she leaves. If she can't do it all in one day, take small, un-noticeable stuff one day and then after that make one swoop for the rest. Chances are her folks will find her, even if she tells the police. Private Investgator, etc. She sounds like a wimp who doesn't want to face up to something, so taking the easy way out. Well, there it is - right above spelled out for her************** I hope she has considered her future without lover boy
