alimony after death


What is the name of your state? Texas
I have recently married a man that is currently paying alimony until dec 2007. if he dies before that date do i have to continue to pay that out of his estate? Texas

Does his divorce decree have a stipulation concerning payments in the event of his death?

My response:

No, you don't because you're not a party to the Decree. However, she could make a successful claim against the Estate to get her money.

Get a life insurance policy on him.
