Am I responsible for my mothers medical bills

my mother lives with me & doesn't have health insurance. she is 64. we claim her on our taxes, as a dependent. would we be responsible for any medical bills. for her. she provides her own food, car insurance & lives on social security.
we live in wisconsin. thanks any help will be appreciated
