What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

I am to be married in august of 2016. Is she going to be in anyway responsible for my past financial aid debt when married?

I guess what I am asking is. Is she going to get a tax return while married to me. I don't get one because of my financial aid.

So we can file separately in the state of Colorado and she will be fine?
You do not need to file separately. You file a joint return with an injured spouse form and she will receive her share of the refund. They will only take your share.
