Arkansas law

What is the name of your state? Arkansas
is a marriage still legal if I havent seen my spouse in 12 years??We were married in Illinois but Maryland was the last place I knew of him being oh and it may be important to know he left me not the other way around

Yes, the marriage is still legal. However, in a VERY quick google search, this link claims that your spouse may be presumed dead!

I wouldn't count on that, though. (the document is 7 yrs old)
