Question

a big mess

I'm not sure what catagory to Post this under, so I choose general. I'm in Israel. My husband left me and took my children to Portland, Or. We were seperated at the time, but not legally. (I had the children with me in Israel) We had a written agreement, because the lawyers here did not know the laws there, and for the states we did not have any legal jurdiction. We were in a place of no where land. My husband has now acquired res. in Or. He has been paying me 1/2 of our agreement, he has not paid anything towards our other agreements. He has not followed suit in the agreement with Psy, and the children.
Because of this, I am now homeless, in a foreign country, trying to finish my BA so I may survive in some vital career. There seems to be some depression going on with my kids. I really don't have the money to go back to visit, and it would take me 2 years to proceed with another University. I'm looking for work, without a work visa, If I figure out a way to go back, I will not have a place to live. No money for a car and no job. I feel as though I was abandonded in Israel.

I really need/want to see my kids. I'm trying to talk my University into letting me finish long distance and going to OR to see what is going on.

Is there any help for me in OR. A place where I can stay until I find a job, save money for an apt, and deal with this issue legally? I've called 20 lawyers, at $50.00 a phone call, to no avail. They want 350.00 first to even have the first conversation with me, plus a 5,000 retaining fee. I do not have that kind of money.

The issue started with emotional/physical abuse. This is why I asked my husband to leave. Long story as to how he took the kids. My doctor, even while I was married said I was being emotionally abused. My psy. who knew my husband, says the same thing. I am learning.

I want to go back, deal with this issue. I can't seem to do it from here. My kids need me. I have no home, no job, no family. I need answers. I'm staying at different friends homes now in Israel. I have been away from my kids for 7 months. Things are getting worse. Thanks
