What is the name of your state? i live in pa mom lives in nj

im 25. my mom is not a well person, by her own choice, we no longer keep in contact, i was told if she passes away i am left with all her debt and have to take care of funeral arrangements. is this true? if so, is there a way i can legally absolve myself from her financial responsibilities.
