What is the name of your state? texas
in the year dec. 2000 i became very ill. the only way i could get a friend of mine and my sister to watch over my children was to sign over power of attorney. i had a lawyer hired for me on my behalf. i didn't pay him the friend that is taking care of my daughter did. when i got out of the hospital on june 5, allision had hit houston hard. i was homeless untill march2002. when i went to bring my son and daughter home my sister hired the same lawyer that had been hired for me the year before is this legal? she filed for temporary custody and because i didn't have a lawyer she won. my son will not talk to me and he will not see me. can someone help. i would also like to know a little bit about ad letiem for a child with an endigent parent. i want to see my kids they are my life i have felt so empty i have documented everything i can but i can't see my children alone or have anyone else with me by orders of my son

i think you are mistaken. the lawyer was hired by your sister and friend to represent their interests and prepare the guardian paperwork. this lawyer was not representing you. that is why the attorney could later represent your sister in the custody hearing.

how old is your son?
