CAN UR PARENTS FORCE U TO GET MARRIED?

im from pennsylvania
im 17 yrs old im gonna turn 18 on august 25...my parents r forcing me to marry someont who lives overseas..someone who is around the age of 25(im not sure wat it is exactly) i was born here so im american...im a senior in high skool...i start college in the summer..they r threatening me..sayin i cant go to skoo..they can pull me out anytime and send me back...wat rights do i have as an american minor? what can i do if when i turn 18 and still try to do this? they r tryin to do it b4 i turn 18 that way i dont runaway...but i dont know wat to do...i didnt do anything to deserve this..they r jus doin it and they say it dosnt matter wat i want or think...im not gonna let them do this to me but i dont know wat to do...please someone help me...thanx

I don't think they had any rights to force you to marry if you don't want especially when you are close being 18 yrs old.

Do you have anyone else you can talk to, someone whom you trust like your aunts, uncles, teachers, couselors? and also you might want to look into getting a lawyer of your own to find out what your rights are.and see if there is any laws in your state regarding this.
