My husband and I were married in Illinois 33 years ago. I recently went to get a copy of our marriage license in order to prepare for retirement. They could not find a license, neither could they see that we had applied for a license. We got married in 1975, they did not save applications until 1976. We did get a license and had a big wedding performed in my mother's church by her pastor.
What should we do now?
