cerified mail

What is the name of your state? NC
do i have to sign for cerified mail?if
so how do i sign to protect myself?thanking you Ron

I believe certified you do have to sign for. Protect yourself from what?

You can refuse the mail, but then the postal worker will note that you refused it. If you sign for it, or if anyone in your home signs for it, it is considered delivered to you.
