Changing Child's last name

ky - my son has no father listed on birth certificate, no child support paid, no contact what-so-ever, we were never married. getting married and wish to change his last name from mine to new husbands. was told that since no father listed only my concent needed. is this true and how do i go about doing it?

not real sure, but i think you should get a family law attorney and he will proceed from there. sounds to me that no one has any say in this but you! go for it! i hope it works out for you.
