| | | Changing name, now what? What is the name of your state?Oregon
My wife and I are both changing our last names. We will get a certified court order or form to use for getting new IDs and passports, but what do we have to do about contracts signed previously? Will we have to re-sign them, or are they still valid? I have a trust fund, do I need to notify the trustee of my name change, and how? |

They will want court ordered documented proof of the name change.
It is not much different than when women get married and change their names.
