community propertyWhat is the name of your state? Ohio My son and his girlfriend split up 10 weeks ago. She was living with us the past three years. She left and has not returned to pick up her stuff she has here which includes a ton of clothes, furniture, aquariums, and a dog. We have asked her repeatedly to come and get stuff and she makes a time to come but does not show up. Also, she has four guns that were bought for her while she lived here that are registered in my husband's name do we have to let here take them? What can we do? | Your words: Also, she has four guns that were bought for her while she lived here that are registered in my husband's name do we have to let here take them? My response: Oh come on, HECK NO!!!! NEVER!!!! He was stupid to do that in the first place!!! Sell her the gats for a buck each, make sure you get it in writting and according to the gun laws in your state!!!! That's IF she can get a permit. If she can't, oh well, she is SOL on that!!! She can't go to court over something it was illegal for her to have in the first place. Other then that, send her a certified letter w/return reciept according to your state laws requesting she has her junk removed from your house. After such time..get rid of it. KAT |
