Couple in dispute

What is the name of your state? Maryland

My husband and I have been living in the same household for about 3 years, but in different locations, he lives in the club basement, and I live upstairs in the entire house. We plan on getting a divorce as soon as I leave the residence. He has repectly told me that once you leave you are still responsible for half of the mortage and will pay. He wants me out real bad, and I want to leave. What legal recourse do I have?
