Death in Family. Have questions?

Arkansas retired army

we open email this a.m. and find message from dear sis in arizona that dad has died (we knew he was ill) The message was dated the 22th of Oct, his Death was Sept 26th. We know there is a will and suspect that dear sis is the Executor, since she live there. There is another sibling, who is the youngest. Dear sis is the middle one, I am the oldest.

Have no idea if anyone else was contact regarding Dad death. A good friend we called today was shocked that we did not know of Dad's death. We are trying to reach the youngest sibling, but so far no luck there. We left messages at her job.

Now I had left items there during tours of services overseas with the promise that they would be returned to me. I want what is mine. Was told there is no funeral, he was cremated, and his remains are to be placed next to mom sometime this spring. First question is where is dad now? What can I do or should do?

First question is where is dad now?

====================================

My response:

Message from sis - -

"Dad is in an Urn, right next to Waldo. Where's Waldo?"

" . . . and our love become a funeral pyre - - Come on baby light my fire. Come on baby light my fire. Try to set the night on . . . FIRE! You know that it would be untrue. You know that I would be a liar - - if I was to say to you - - girl we couldn't get much higher! Come on baby light my fire . . . Come on baby light my fire. COME ON BABY LIGHT MY . . . F I R E !"

(Organ music here)

How the hell would WE know where your Dad is?

Why do I get the feeling you and Dad weren't exactly close? I'm sorry, but I don't see how it's possible to not know that your parent has passed away if you're in any sort of regular contact. Dad was ill, but you obviously haven't been trying to get hold of him or been concerned that you haven't heard from him in a month. You don't care where Dad is - you just want your crap. God save us from kids like you.

Well I can see that it nothing but wise cracks that I get here. You know nothing about me or my family. Dad had been in the hospital alot and we called him almost ever other day. We spoke to dear sis when she was there, also George, his best friend, whom I have know since I was a child. I am almost 53 now.

There is a house and we not sure if there is a will, when Mom died, Dad did not have one then, we all tried to make sure he got one made, I was still in the army so could not stay there.

But thanks for the jokes here. I know better then to drop in and ask a question here.

You called almost every other day, yet didn't find out for a month that he was dead? How is that possible? Surely you must see that what you're saying doesn't tie up.

My response to the original writer:

And, what's even worse, WE STILL don't know where your father is!

I looked, and looked, and I still can't find him!

P.S. What the hell kind of question was that, anyway?
