In the very least you would have to hire an attorney to represent your interests in court.

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply and the advice which is deeply appreciated staying so far away!

Agreed attorney needs to be hired but few queries:

1) Can I be represented by issuing a power of attorney to my attorney instead of coming there myself.

2) What shall be the charges of the attorney? ( range)

3) Are the charges success based?

Awaiting your reply

Regards

The lawyers that write here are volunteers that offer their legal expertise to hundreds of posters per day and to my knowledge do not represent the people here. Most of us (like the previous poster) offer advice from what we've learned.

We can't say how much will be charged because that depends on who you choose. Many of the replies are guided to advise you in the direction you should take to make sure your rights are not violated.

I would suggest you check the metacrawler search engines for some VA lawyer sites, send them e-mails to see if they can assist you and work from there.

Regarding a power of attorney, it's quite possible that you may be able to use it. Since you're out of the country, it may be allowed.

It's quite possible that one of the lawyers will be able to answer your question when they get to it with a more detailed plan for you.

Good luck!
