divorce in Nebraska but want to remarry in South Carolina

I was divorced in Nebraska but want to get married in South Carolina. Nebraska has a 180 waiting period to remarry, do they have juristiction over South Carolina? Can I legally get married during this time but in South Carolina

Rather paternalistic of Nebraska, but rebound marriages have a higher rate of divorce.

A triumph of hope over reason.

I need a law code or something

I need a code or where it is written that Nebraska does not have juristiction in South Carolina or that they do not honor the nebraska law. I have spoke to the clerk of the court and a judge and they both said I can get a license but I just dont want it to come back as not a legal marriage.

Somehow, you feel that an anonymous internet forum is in a better position to advise you?
Tell you what - why don't you just wait the 6 months and THEN get married? Problem solved!

Please do not give out accurate and correct information and advice.

It only confuses people.
