Do i have to pay for funeral costs?

Charlotte, NC...I am married, but have not lived with my husband for over a year. We have not gotten legally seperated through the courts either. I just want to know that if he were to pass am I legally responsible for his funeral costs?

His estate is responsible - It can be paid out of his assets.
