does restraining order stop at age 18?My ex put a bogus restraining order against me being able to see my children. He knew I couldn't afford to go to court to fight it so he knew it would stand. My question is, when my children turn 18 does it remain in effect or can I see them if they want to see me? |

| When they turn 18, they are legal adults, and unless your kids put the restraining order in effect when they turn 18, they can visit/communicate with you as often as they want. If your ex put the restraining order on you, then he is the only person you cannot have contact with, (oh darn, right?) |

| Not necessarily.. In my state RO's and PO's include everyone in the household. However RO's do not include children anyways.... Everyone(including myself) that I know that's had a RO against an ex provisions were made for the children.

| The restraining order is that I cannot see the children. My oldest son will be 18 in a little over a week and he wants me to come see him at school. |

| I would fight that order... go to a judge. I would then say that your parental right have been stepped on. I have NEVER heard a judge put a RO on an ex and then not given the ex hell for not letting them see the children unless visitation has been revoked through a vistiation modification.
