What is the name of your state? Fl
I lived with a man for almost 20 years we were never married. In 2003 I gave him 20,000 so we could buy the house we were living in. He died last june. Hi sons said that they would split the money for the house with me. They sold the house last month and do not want to give me a penny. One is a lawyer and his father told him that he wanted me taken care of. They will not even give me back my $20,000.00 for the down payment. Can I get it back? Need help!

Was your name on the house? Was there a will? Was there anything official in writing from this man stating that you were to get the money back upon sale of the house? If not then no.
