My state is Pennsylvania

What rights do children have over elderly parents diagnosed with alzheimers?

Can a stranger move into their life and take over bank accounts and everything after knowing them only a few weeks?

Immediately call Adult Protective Services and an Elder Law attorney that does guardianships/conservatorships and petition to be your parent(s) guardian. Do this right now.

Did you call and hire an attorney? While you are waiting for APS, your father is being exploited. APS is not obligated to tell you anything. An attorney can obtain info from APS. You need to immediately petition for guardianship over your father. Ask the attorney about emergency and/or temporary guardianship.
