Emancipation?

I am trying to find out information about emancipation for my daughters best friend.
She lived with us for a summer a couple of years ago because her mother was too busy living her own life to take care of her.
Her father lives in another city. Now her mother does not want her and wants her to live with her father. She wants to stay at her school but once her mother found out that her father let her stay with me now she wants her back. Is there anything she can do to get emancipation???????????

As far as emancipation the child has to be 16 or older in Pa. My son asked for it to get the system out of his life but the Judge denied his request. Hope this helps. Good Luck..
