emancipation for minors

What is the name of your state? Arkansas

what exactly is emancipation of a minor and how do you go about obtaining it?

emancipation says that the minor in question has all rights that an adult would have--except voting, drinking, and buying tobacco, etc. You can sign legal papers like contracts. And give permission for medical care and stuff like that. You have to go before a judge and prove that you are responsible to make mature decisions and can support yourself(not easy to do at 15)
