What is rit of Habus Corpis??
My parents have grandparent visitation. The man the ex-sis married is an alcoholic and a drug maker/user. He is in a treatment place at this time for a year. She has decided to run back to him and enter into this place also. Parents did not show apporvel for her to go back with him so she took the 10 yld niece and dropped her off with his parents/family
My parents raised this child her first five years and again since Feb. 01-July 01.
This family keeps hiding her, telling everyone that she is not there. Mom will show up (2 hrs away) to pick up grand daughter and they will not let mom have niece. Nor is her 18 yld brother allowed to see her.
What can we do?
This ex-sis admitted to being on meth and helping make this. That is why her husband is in treatment stipulated by courts. He is also abusive. We have that proof by ex-sis sending me email about it.
Can I myself get custody if father/grandparents can't?
