Exclusive Home Ownership

What is the name of your state? Georgia
My husband and I will be divorcing later this year. I plan to purchase a home with only my name on the title. I have asked the mortage company not to consider his income. Will he have any rights to this property since I will be purchasing it before any divorce action?

Wait until you are divorced. Otherwise Santa might just leave a nasty present under your tree.

Talk to your attorney. I HAVE seen pre-divorce home purchases closed (due to cxontractural closing obligations) utilizing a waiver of any future marital property rights to the property being purchased. I do not know if thiscan be done in your state.

nextwife is correct. You need to talk with a local attorney about your plans. Georgia is not a community property state, but it is an 'equitable distribution' state. Simply, this means that the assets of each party that are acquired during the marriage are reviewed as 'marital assets' to be distributed 'equally' on dissolution of the marriage.... and your house ownership could be an issue.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
