What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois

I have recently been caught by my wife watching internet porn. Now my wife thinks I am molesting my 3 year old daughter. I am without question 100% innocent. How do I go about proving myself? I'm fearful because I keep reading about how some falsely accused people get put through hell. It seems as if most people are assumed guilty right off the bat. How can I prove to anybody that one thing does not relate to the other? I feel as though my world is crumbling around me, and I can't do a damn thing about it.

It appears that the person you most need to convince of your innocence is your wife and, for that, marital counseling seems your best option.

Your wife ascertained this by you simply watching internet porn?? I find that really hard to believe. Is there anything else that may have occurred that led her to this assumption?

My wife will not be willing to do this. She finds things like this to be an inconvenience. When she makes any mistakes, it's OK, but if the children or I make a mistake, it's the biggest issue on Earth. I accept the fact that I was watching porn, but how do I go about proving I am not doing anything to harm my child? I fear if we call the police or a doctor, there will be no evidence of anything, yet I'll still be viewed as guilty. I feel like I'm in a black hole and cannot escape.

What kind of porn were you watching? Child? Very young teen boys or girls?

There are plenty of people crazy enough to make that leap from regular everyday porn. If the police get involved and they find no evidence of abuse or kiddie porn, you have nothing to worry about (other then your crazy wife divorcing you).

I did not look up kiddie porn. No teens involved either. My daughter had a rash or irritation near her vaginal are the other day, my wife catches me on the computer watching porn, and now I'm a monster to her. I have started the process of seeking guidance for being a porn addict, however, there is in no way, shape, or form I have done anything to my daughter. That's a sick and twisted thought. When I was on the porn site, there were many windows to click to view movies. I had clicked on one where one of the words read young. When you do this, at the bottom, there are more relating videos. My family means the world to me, and as I stated, my goal is to deal with my issue with porn, not a false issue that is damning.

Are you really addicted to porn or were you just looking at it like most normal people (particularly men but some women too) do sometimes? Don't call yourself an addict if you're not. Your wife needs to understand that what you were doing was not deviant or psychotic behavior (unless of course you do watch porn to the level of being pathalogical). You BOTH need counseling.

Couldn't agree more.

OP, it's unfortunate but yes sometimes people do make the jump that "legal porn means you're obviously a dangerous prevert". But clarification would be handy, as to exactly what you're watching (no, we don't need graphic details) as BM asked.

OP posted that around the same time his wife caught him watching porn, she also found a rash on the daughter. Coincidence, nothing more. However, he also felt the need to include the web address of the site he was on in the same post, so I'm sure someone reported it, since that's not the kind of stuff people want linked from this site. We did NOT need to know the actual site he was on!

Sorry. I did give out the web site because I wanted people to check out for themselves that it's no kiddie porn site. My daughter did have a rash in her vaginal area, but she had also been pooping in her underwear recently. As far as the type of porn, I'd say it was varying, but definitely all adult. I don't look at porn every day, maybe one every couple weeks, sometimes twice in a week. I feel like it's excessive when I do. I do not want a divorce. I do want to work through my issue of watching porn and to keep my family in tact. I just cannot live with the accusation of being something I'm entirely not. I regret what I have done by wasting time watching porn, but I do not apologize for the fact that I do not touch children in an inappropriate way. I never have, and I never will.
