What is the name of your state? tx,What constitutes neglect in a parent child relationship if the child who at the age of majority does not show any interest in the parent or in the welfare of the parent. Who acts as though the parent does not exist is ther a remedy for such treatment?

If by age of majority you mean 18, then kick their ass to the curb. Your obligation is over, fini, done.

Then I suggest you get a job because at 18 you are an adult in the eyes of the law and can fend for yourself.

I agree everybody should have a job and pay ther own way. But what if that person has been kept from a job by operation of the law.

What the hell does that mean?

If you want advice quit talking in code. Either come out and say what you mean or look elsewhere.

I'm not talking in codeit is a situation where I am trying to determine if there is neglect of family members whose capacities are in question and there is a disregard for their welfare by their offspring/children.

Listen, you have not said one thing that anyone can read and make sense out of. Now my patience is wearing thin.

Ever wonder why no one else has responded? Maybe you should listen first. TELL US WHAT THE HELL THE SITUATION IS! And I don't mean in fragments or beating around the bush.

State the entire situation or I'm done. PERIOD!

The problem is I lost my job. We live separate, I pay them support payments out of my earnings. Now that I lost my job and it has not been determined if I will recieve my unemployment benefits because of investigation into into the grounds of separation from the employment has not been completed. In the meantime they ignore me and my needs which keeps me from meeting theirs. I didn't create the situation.

O.K. I'm done.

You have still not given any details and I'm tired of trying to spoonfeed you. Let someone else deal with you.
