I am looking for advice on what to do to try and get temporary custody of my niece. My Sister-in-law has a severe drug problem and is manic depressed. The baby is well taken care of by my wife and kids and I but she seems to rather be on the phone or outside instead of taking care of her. I want to know if there is any way that I can persue legal custody of her so she will be taken care of. The father in the childs life has not been in the picture since she was7 months old and she is now 16 months. Would like to make it so he can't come take her if Sister's problem doesn't get fixed.
