Gift from NCP using CS

What is the name of your state? North Carolina

My ex-husband told our son that he is giving him a trampoline for his birthday. My understanding was that he was going to send extra money for the gift. He now tells me to use the child support money to pay for it.

Am I obligated to use the cs money to buy the trampoline? Unfortunately, at this point in time, I am dependent upon the money for support of our son's daily living needs. Another problem is that the current amount of child support doesn't cover the cost of a trampoline. I could combine several months of child support, but that would put us in a financial bind and his birthday would have already passed.

Unfortunately, our situation involved domestic violence, so I am concerned of the consequences if I don't somehow comply with this.

Any suggestions?

No you dont have to buy the trampoline. If ex wants to buy the trampoline he can use his own money. He cannot deduct the cost of the trampoline from the monthly child support.

If he threatens or harms you call the police and have his ass thrown in jail. Then he can be used as a human mattress by his bunkmates.
