grandparent rights

What is the name of your state? pa
when both of my sons were born, my mother in law claimed that she had "certain right" to my children. being that she is a bit overbearing, what exactly are the rights of a grand parent? what are my rights as a father, other than the obvious? how much right does a grandparent have? does this mean that they have legal control over the raising of my children? i consider myself and my wife to be fit parents. what rights do i have in the event that my rights as a father are ignored by the "certain rights" of the grandparent?

They are blowing smoke, as they have no rights to your children. You and your wife are the parents and unless one or both of you abandon your children, and the grandparents get custody, or if you are abusing your children, they have no say in how you raise them.
