| Unless the promise was in writing, you probably don't have a leg to stand on. |

| Were your parents still married at the time of your mother's death? If so, this is now your father's property and he can do with it what he pleases.

| VeronicaGia &Mamma_Tiger' Thanks for the relpy, but I think I need to add more.My sister was present when Mom told what she wanted done at her death. My sister has already taken the items Mom said she could have. She has also gone into Dad's house and taken other items. I believe under the Elder's law, she isn't allow to take items out of his house. She and her husband took Dad to a lawyer and had him make out a new will. He has trouble with his eyesight and didn't read the will. I read it to him and he kept saying that wasn't right. They tricked him into putting her on as his power of attorney (what I had done for 7 years) and my brother as administor and medical power of attorney (I had taken care of my parents and did all of this for 12 years). My brother doesn't know anything about Dad's meds and my sister is taking him to all Dr. appts. They took him out of our county to their lawyer. |
