guardenship

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? texas
I have a sister who is not stable at all. I am looking for informaton on how to get guardenship over my two nieces. My mother is getting older and I want to help my mom by bringing them down here to stay with my family. These girls have been enough pain and my love for them is strong. I have always brought them things and cared for them since they were babies. I need information fast for the situation is out of control again and I have had it!!!
My sister is very lazy on drugs at any moment things don't go her way and leaves the two girls with my mom for weeks sometimes. She is still staying with my mom,but I feel that when these girls come to stay with me for as long as it takes her to get right she will know that I mean bussiness. My mom has told me that if something happens to her that she wants me to take the girls. I don't want to wait until that because my mom needs to have time in her late life to enjoy it and not worry about them. I am married now 9 years and a mother of 3 boys and can care for them. Please email me on how to start the process.

To start the process you hire an Atty for this is the ONLY way you will gain custody of the children!

Although an attorny is advisable, It is NOT the only way to accomplish this.

However, first you must prove to a court that your sister is incompetent and a danger to the children. Still, because immaculate conception hasn't happened for more than 2,000 years, the children do have a father and that is who the court will look at first for custody.

How old is older? And your buying them things is not grounds for you to gain custody.

Being lazy and doing drugs is not ground to change custody.

So, this is a control issue. now it comes out.

And your mom has no legal standing to tell you anything. And it's worthless at best.

So far you have not stated a case where a court will award you guardianship and/or custody away from the mother.

So, now what?
