Question

guardianship


What is the name of your state? Massachuestts
my 16 yr old sister lives with me & my family. i'm trying to find out in which state i would i find a lawyer & serve my mother. she lives in CT.

First of all it’s sad you don't know where your mother is..

Second have you contacted a family lawyer in Massachusetts to see if you can serve her citation by publication? Which is running an ad in the local paper showing your intentions?? You really need a family lawyer in your area and they can tell you your options…


if you know her last known address you can send a blank envelope to the address and put 'address correction requested' and they will forward you her change of address... if she has one..

i do know where she is , but there is a question of which state the paper are to be served in. i've only contacted 4 family law lawyers and have been kindly jerked around about this question. they seemed more interested in a retainer than my situation.
