What is the name of your state? PA
I was living with my boyfriend for one year. We hade verbal agreement about all bills and rent payment. I was responsible for all utilities and food and he was paying rent. And it was equal.
Also I bout all furniture and TV for this apartment, which cost me couple thousand dollars on my credit cards. We also had verbal agreement on these expenses, and he promised me we will pay off all this bills in one year. But as of today I am still paying it off.
In august of this year I moved out, because he told me he is not going to renew our list for apartment and he is moving to different state. But he is still here, in same apartment. On the day then I was moving out he was very aggressive and didn’t let me take anything of my furniture. We still friends. All this months I was talking to him and trying to settle down every thing about my furniture.
And every time we having these conversations he keeps saying I can come over and take what ever I want.
I do have key to this apartment and I’m on a list as an occupant. But every time I want to come and take my stuff he is not home or he’s changing his mind. I little bit afraid to get in this apartment when he is not there and in same time I afraid to do that than he is there. I afraid he can herd me or my friends. Right know he is facing eviction from this apartment, for 2 month nonpayment. I know he’s not going do anything about it. My feer is that landlord will change lock on the door and I never will see my furniture again. Or he may sneak behind my back, take everything and runaway.
I have couple of days to do something about it but I NEED ADVICE WHAT CAN I DO.

If your name is on the lease, have the landlord enter the apartment with you. Also if your name is on the lease, the landlord will be coming to you for non-payment of rent.

Yes, do as Veronica suggests and retrieve your furniture. Hope you kept credit card receipts to show the LL if demanded. Hon, you're about to learn a painful lesson about verbal agreements.
