help getting a marriage certificate

I am currently in nebraska and getting married to my girlfriend in California. I've been going through some information but wanted to see if someone could give me definitive answers. I'm originally from Nepal and currently working on my green card and my girlfriend is also from Nepal but is a US citizen because she was born here. But basically what I would like to know is what kind of paper work do we really need? Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Paperwork to get married or paperwork for immigration purposes? Very little paperwork is needed to get married. You should consult an immigration attorney for immigration purposes.
