Help...Please

I live with my father and Step-Mother, and I we live a very comfortable life that anyone would envy and yearn for. However what is wealth and possessions when your Sanity, Emotional and Physical safety is under threat. I am still in High School and have never held a job, but I have worked before for a Friends parents and have some experience teaching. The Problem Lies with my Father, On a daily basis I am Insulted, degraded, and sometime beaten, either with a House hold object such as a large screw driver, etc or by his hand. Now my Father is 73 but is in excellent shape however his health is failing. I myself am a pretty strong guy and know several self defense moves. however I do not wish to hurt him. I am constantly referred to as 'The Idiot", "Dumb A--", "Son of a Bi---" and many many more. I am also dubbed "worthless" and "scum", I work very hard at my Education and the Funding for which is the only reason I have not left home on my own (I have several Adult Friends who would offer me a job). My education is also under threat it has not been uncommon for him to prevent me from going to school, or now that I am in a Online High School, to shut off the power to my office. My step mother is really no help as she will not do anything against my father and when ever I ask her a question she defers it to him as if she has no free will. I have read stories about Minors like myself that are well learned for there age and have a very good head on their shoulders getting a Lawyer and winning there freedom from such situations an a sizable amount of money. Now don't get me wrong I am not asking this because of the money factor, I am asking so I can gain my Freedom and have enough Funds to support myself and continue with an advanced education. Please if you can Help me or Give me Aide post a reply or E-Mail me at Raven__Knight@hotmail.com Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you.

P.S.I posted this message in another topic as well to maximize my results.

Where did you hear such a thing? You have no rights to your parents money even if you get emancipated.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.

Again, you have no rights to your parents money. Happy Fishing.

Raven,
Your father is considerably older than most parents of high school students nor have you told us your age.

In your father's generation, attitudes towards punishment were different than today, it doesn't make right, it is just a fact. Same for the name calling. However, if your father has prevented you from going to school, that is a different issue, or isolating you form society in a homeschool environment.

It is also possible that your parents behaviors may be signs of age associated decline, if that is the case, you can contact CPS or APS and ask for help.

It may also be a sign that there is more to this story. Why are you not in a real high school? Why an online school? Why do you think your intelligence level is so higher than others your age? What is your age?

You can't get emancipated unless you can support yourself, which you obviously can't do. I say figure out what the real problem is and work on that.
