How do you represent yourself...

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

when you previously had an attorney of record? My final divorce was through NY Supreme Court (divorce attorney - no longer use him) and Family Court proceedings in NYS with attorney 2 - I can no longer afford to use him. I think I may have to go back to court but I can't pay off old balance with lawyer 2 completely right now. Is there something I can file to be considered 'pro se' or am I obligated to remain with attorney 2 from here on?

Thanks.

You can terminate your attorney and represent yourself.

Thanks, LDiJ...once you used that terminology I was able to Google the following

Sometimes it gets so confusing knowing what to type in to get the info you want...Thanks again.
