Hypothetical Situation

YOUR STATE NAME - Maryland

I have a question regarding my rights as a spouse. My husband and I have a house that when it was purchased, my husband put in his name only. He said he was required to do this by the mortgage lending company. He moved out here three months before I did because I had to stay to handle the sale of our other house. I have repeatedly asked that we go to the title company and have the house retitled in both of our names. My concern is that should anything happen to him, my children and I could lose the home. We do have wills that state everything would go to me and the children in the event of his death, but I'm concerned about a long drawn-out process due to the house only being in his name. Can anyone calm my fears?
