| I got married in Italy... We live in NYC.
November 2000 we got married in Italy. We went throught the american embassy and got all necessary paper work. It was a both a Catholic AND a civil wedding (we signed boos and everything).
The only piece of paper we have to show for it (besides photos) is a letter from the priest. It has not raise seal, and I only have one original copy.
Do I need to register my marriage here in NY? If so, how do I do that? I tried to legally change my last name, but I was told that I needed a marriage "certificate" with a raise seal. What do I do? Its been over a year already! |
