What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina
My ex-boyfriend & I have been living together almost 3 years & have decided to split. I agreed that he could stay in my house until he found a place to go, but now he is telling me that I have no legal right to kick him out until he is ready to go. I want to know if he is right & I just have to suffer until he leaves or if I could legally get him out?

You are a landlord. Follow landlord tenant law and EVICT him (provided he is not on the deed to the house).
